A Hopeful Season Poem by Walterrean Salley

A Hopeful Season

The silver bells of Christmastime
Are about to chime
Far and near across the land
Can hope so flourish
Within the bosom once again,
And to be as grand?
Humanity's heart is darkened
Like the deep night skies
They only toil and search at best.
Oh may this Christmas
Renew our lives with spirit, hope,
True peace, faith and rest.
