A Hundred Thousand Reasons Poem by David Harris

A Hundred Thousand Reasons

I love you for
a hundred thousand reasons,
but mainly because
you are you.

I love the way you are always there
when this old world rejects me.
I love you for your company
when loneliness in my life creeps in.

I love you for being there
when my teardrops fall,
but I love you for
being you most of all.

I love you at my side
as evening turns to night.
I love for more reasons
than I can ever name.

I love you for saying I do
and consenting to walk with me
through the turbulences of life
and standing beside me as my wife.
