A Japanese Poem by james watkin

A Japanese

Of all women, presupposed
Of brassy outline
As looked at, this screen through;
Oriental-fine.

Into first glance sliding, coy
As that light, spangling
Picked, aslant, off dragonfly's
Momentary wing.

Back-misting, and still naming
It the beautiful.
Is cunning as cultured.
To artworks, truthful.
