A Kiss From A Rose Poem by James Nnanyelugo

A Kiss From A Rose

The Song of a Soulmate
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

You my mind for so long have occupied
And in my thoughts, you the most dwell
In me there lives a fear of how qualified
Am I to be the one, to your song to sway

You wear a velvet brown silk for hair
As though from beginning to the throne an heir
Your lips like a red rose glimmer
Under the influence of a welcome dew flicker

Your golden eyes passion ignites
The deflation of your pupil emotion invites
The same unspeakable matter-of-fact
The notion that you, in fact is apt

And when you move your lips ajar
To most beautiful set of thirty two reveal
The wounds of a broken spirit subside
Leaving the hitherto saddened man agape

Such is the affections of my angel
Such is the healing nature of her touch
Her kiss on my cheek on a debut
Can only be compared to a kiss from a rose

A Kiss From A Rose
POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It's been years!
...I still feel like it was yesterday
When our lips met for the first time
Re-living the moment every other time we do it again.
Which is rarely often (smiles)

It's a great step you just took: admitting your desires. Thank you The Loved one
