At The Great Dusk Poem by James Nnanyelugo

At The Great Dusk

Rating: 5.0

The true beauty of a Sunrise
is not a moment that can be captured,
The beauty is the rising of the sun
It's the sequence that leaves you enraptured.

The darkness is part of the sequence,
beauty cannot be without.
One day I hope it will dawn upon you,
And that you too will be empty of doubt.

Before the Sunrise could even begin,
He left just like that and it hit me - we were done.
The relationship was over
But the pain had just begun.

A parting is not just the goodbye,
But also the absence of your presence,
The struggle of relearning to be alone,
The lingering emptiness, the darkness - it's essence.

To a father, a husband, a friend,
I bid goodbye,
To a mother, a wife, a soulmate,
I wish a peaceful dawn at sunrise.
To my Brothers,
I tender my most heartfelt wish of good spirit and coordination
To my sister, my true lover, my heartbeat, my Sunrise,
I assure you of the ever presence of my affections

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
He passed on...
Living without him, to many left behind,
is nothing close to fun...
But our heart will always cherish every moment we spent with you.
Your memories, ever green...
