A Lady In The Manger

Tell me gently dear,
How much do the plots of land
In your heart cost?
I have these seedlings of love
That I want to invest on,
But have searched for a fertile land
To plough, irrigate and tend
But none seems to exist.

I had let my eyes to wander around
Observing every trace of your footprints
It picked you among others
Please dear, may I ask again
How do I buy plots in your heart?

Remember dear, no builder builds
Without first obtaining the ownership of a land
Or else risks destrucction by legitimate owner
So, may I have the license to your heart?
To water your gardens better than the last occupant
Release the keys to your heart to me
And earth will forever a paradise be.
