A Letter To God Poem by Namita Rani Panda

A Letter To God

O' merciful Almighty! Please listen to my sincere prayer,

I'm writing this letter with my priceless tear,

I poured out my heart on this little kite

and with undying hope set it in flight.

Please never take it as an insignificant kite

as a helpless child I'm in a great plight!

It's a letter addressed to heaven

where You live happily with Your most loving children.

People say that You can read everyone's mind

but how can't You read my mournful mind!

Can't You know how much I suffer?

My life is a hell in this soulless shelter.

I never want horrifying violence and war

which stores sufferings only for the lone survivors!

War shattered my secure sweet home

and devoured my loving dad and mom.

I've only one wish that I earnestly cherish:

My dad's arms and my mom's lap, my heavenly bliss!

Please lift me up for a blissful unison

waiting for Your reply with a great expectation!
