A Lie Told To Hear Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

A Lie Told To Hear

A lie told to hear,
Is only validated to admit it.
When the liar has submitted,
Notorized proof...
That certifies in documentation,
The origin of the lie...
Was authentic.
And not specifically directed,
To have anyone left to feel...
The lie told was meant to intend,
It to be personalized.
Afterall...
These days,
Lies to tell...
Are given honor, respect and praise.
So it is important to hold,
Random lies told higher than those...
Meant to demean and belittle.

To then have this event witnessed,
By those who swear...
With oaths to have taken,
They had been present during the time,
A lie told to hear it spoken...
Had been committed.
Although the origins,
Of it they could not confirm,
With absolute certainty...
If the liar telling the lie,
Was of Liberal empathies and a Democrat.
Or a Conservative Republican,
Accused to be blamed...
For everything under the Sun.
Yet claims not to lie.

And everyone knows them not to be honest.
That is why in these bewildering times,
We request those who intend to lie...
To first have them notorized.
Allowing those who pass judgement,
To know which liars are authentic.
And trained to be who they are.
With this to remember,
Some liars have been ordained.
And believe themselves,
Gifted to lie like no one else.
As if blessed,
With a supernatural talent!
And excusing what they say and do,
To not dispute or refute it...
Is highly recommended.
