A Life Hooked Poem by Ray Hansell

A Life Hooked

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes we're all in need
For someone to just listen
Someone we can talk to
To tell us what we're missing

Living in a dark world
Consumed by an addiction
Just hoping people know
Our lives are not lived in fiction

The problems that we face each day
They are so very real
To others they may seem like nothing
To us, it's a big deal

Sometimes you must hit bottom
Before you can rise
People can see the hurt and pain
When they look into our eyes

That why it's always nice to have
Someone with a helping hand
Someone who has been where I am
Someone who can completely understand

Ray, if you really are consumed by an addiction, I hope you can get some professional help and get clean. Some of my best friends succumbed, and they are all dead now. Best wishes! (If the poem is just fiction, great job!)

We need to listen someone. Problems we face at each day but we overcome. We have to keep trust on God. This poem is very brilliantly and excellently penned with much beauty...10
