A Life Together Poem by Matthew Holloway

A life together
a coffee and pleasantries
shared each morning before work
in the nicely decorated home
with gardens and a dog
children an added option
although not an essential
days out, weekend breaks
and regular holidays
intermix with evenings together
eating, drinking, watching television
perhaps listening to music
whilst reading a book
hobbies and past times
will also be present
from time to time
and the bedroom, yes
will offer other activities
and forms of exercise
although not exclusive
to that very room
keeping the poem clean
however
here's to a life together
and all that brings
