A Little White Lie Poem by Juan Olivarez

A Little White Lie

Just a little white lie,
To get you by.
It's not a real big deal,
After all you must rely,
On how it will make her feel.
Don't break her heart,
You should be smart.
The truth can hurt at times.
So try your best to do your part,
Don't confess to any crimes.
A little white lie,
Can save your skin.
And you just might beat the rap.
So don't tell her exactly where you've been,
Just that the beer was ice cold tap.
