A Man's Reflection Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

A Man's Reflection

Rating: 5.0

A lonely day; A lonely feeling
In shallow time, never forgiving
And how, one might wonder then
Why a face has aged for loving sin

Now a body weary, old and broken
How or why shall never tell
Blame only God for not forgiving
When a Sparrow calls a soul to Hell

None shed tears, but only one
He is old in his reflection
Time so cruel fades in the glass
A life of misdirection

Shall a love of what once never was
Be more loved than lost direction
Follow the lines and blame him not
It is just a Man's reflection
