A Military Mothers Pride Poem by louis rams

A Military Mothers Pride

It was a mother s delight when she gave birth to quads that night
Two boys and two girls to bring joy to her empty world.
She lost her husband in a war in a far and distant shore.
Wars still rage in the middle east and people pray for a little peace.
Radicals trying to instill their will upon others - it matters not
If they're sisters or brothers.
She will tell her children about their father s life and for freedom
He was willing to fight.
About a man who knew no wrong showed her" how to be strong"
That same strength will be passed on until the day that she is gone.
They go to his grave on their birthday to listen to his life and to pray
And was told he saw every one of them on the monitoring screen
And heard each one of their heart beats- and for him it was the greatest treat.
when he was deployed- he knew he had been blessed
Then GOD laid him to rest.
Five hearts, five souls, five lives - all in one
This is a military mother s pride
