A Mistake Poem by S.N. Surajbhan

A Mistake

Rating: 1.5

I was back home with my hand bag
Hitting my knees, and my pet dog just
Barking at someone;
I guess it was me.
With my wife scolding the dog
With nothing wrong,
I just sat on the sofa and my head on top of it,
And my mouth slight open.
When going to the bathroom to clean the
Dust in my foot,
I thought of the dust that came with me
In my mind, through a mistake.
When she asked me to clean my hands before
Dinner, my legs just hesitated
To step forward,
As I didn't wanted to see a guilty person
In mirror; a person that I was.
By taking dinner it may be the stomach
That got satisfied,
But it was my mind that still roamed like
Anything for innocence and satisfaction
That remained hidden in the bunch of dust.
The light coming from the neighbours cabin
Slowly dimmed and finally,
It all became dark.
It felt like my happiness was captured
In the prison of black cloud,
And my dreams were just dominated
By the devils of the dust.
But, I forgot that I did a mistake
As I'm a human,
But the Almighty wouldn't…….

And my dreams were just dominated By the devils of the dust. But, I forgot that I did a mistake As I'm a human, But the Almighty wouldn't……. Good idea. Enjoyed your poem. Thank you Surajbhan.
