A Morning In Winter Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

A Morning In Winter

I come out to bask under the sun's soothing ray
When the clouds are in the corner of the sky far away
I watch birds playing around me and I feel glad being alive today

I feel the wind playing with flowers pretty faces
When girls go to river for bath and wash their dresses
I watch them laying on sands spreading and drying long tresses

I run down to the valley and sit on a stone
Where to reach my height long grasses have grown
I watch the squirrel teasing me while cracking nuts sitting alone

I roll on the grasses and get soaked with dew
When the sky dazzles in the stream with its charming hue
I watch the snow capped mountains afar making a splendid view
