A New Me Resolution Poem by Allen Steble The Philosophical Poet

A New Me Resolution

Rating: 2.0

I've never believed in New Years resolutions,
Why delay what is important for another second?

If it's what you want and you know it to be true,
Go after it with all you've got, and follow through!

So we start here in January,
Take that first step, even though it's quite scary!

The shortest month of February,
You eat too much cheese, cut back on that dairy!

As we walk into March,
Stop your procrastination, just make a start!

Don't let April fool you,
Get active and shed those pounds you've always wanted to!

Don't delay, just cause it's early May,
Ready your marathon, practice every single day!

It's not too soon, just cause it's June,
Bring out that telescope, and gaze at the full moon!

Too much apple pie to fill your belly in July,
Swap it out for some tasty fruit, and watch those kilos fly!

On that comfy couch in August,
The house has been a mess for months, time to dust!

I need to make some calls, It's already September,
What better time for my family and friends to remember!

We are now into October,
What better time to let go of the past, and start over!

Now we all know it's November,
Let those toxic relationships burn, right to the last ember!

Holiday time has come now in December,
Get active in that class, become an avid member!

Any month is a great time to make a change
So what on earth are you waiting for?

Don't wait for New Years resolutions,
Make a new you resolution right now!
