A Poem Of My Rosy Vision And My Maple Leafy Agenda

A Poem of my rosy vision and my maple leafy agenda
-Gayathri B. Seetharam
Is my view of the world askew
For I see hearts and flowers
When there are also guns and roses
If I see the indigenous tree goddess, Haida,
Over a maple leaf tree blessing it
I also see a rosy vision of Toronto's art galleries and museums
As hearts with wings AND heart shaped flowers
AND binary digits and chemical symbols AND roses and maple leafs
AND flowery hearts spinning their vivid tales of imagination
Which I am portraying in my paintings
If there is prose in a rose
And irregularity of expression in its creation
There is poetry in a maple leaf
But a symmetry of arrangement in its creation
So there is a mission in my life
To succeed in my goals and earn money once again
And I come back to my question
And answer by saying that the visions of maple leafs and roses
Make the taste of maple syrup with golden waffles and coffee simply delicious
And the scent of a rose sweet
If the scent of a man is earthy
And his view down to earth
The taste of his lips on my lips
Is pleasing and the impact monumental to my heart
For therein lies the secret to a man's touch
It causes an answering plea in my body
But I say, as a feminist, Yes sire Bob,
If you are good with your hands,
I am also good with my hands
And can cause an impactful stir in a man's loins.
