A Promise That Holds Poem by Doris Cornago

A Promise That Holds

Love is like this, never ever tires
Never submits to tiredness
Even when there is hurt
Or no sense of light
Difficult is what
Keeps you
Going
Holding
On with all
You've got, till
Death do us part
Is a promise that holds
And binds, lifts up the head
Love until the end, do not dread
Being left alone, when love is gone
