A Pure Love Poem by Doris Cornago

A Pure Love

This is
Unselfish love
Even when angry
You're there in a blink
Cleansing his misdeeds
Changes clothes, forgets
Rough words, bad habits
Makes his motives pure
When you're done with
Still you stay, touch
His head with a
Wand for a
Wish

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Love is like a prescription you can take when sick. It's bitter but it makes you well. No one can do without it as it salves all hurts, healing both the giver and the receiver. When you think you have enough with someone but still you hang on, then you know you are being taught a lifelong lesson on love. It will fortify you against all storms of relationships.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Doris Cornago 04 September 2018

Love gets your world upside down, there's nothing easy about it. If you're thinking that love is all peaches and cream, it's not. Don't fall into love, but walk in with both eyes open, and willing to do things you won't think of doing just for fun and adventure, but you have to do anyway to stay alive and make someone else live a healthy life.
