A Restless Sorrow Poem by Alex Choi

A Restless Sorrow

I am strandded inside. It is as if I am in a desert alone walking for miles of time. I can only remember my freedom. My pride has died far away. I am but a mere soul. I can feel my soul being broken like a shattered window. As I reach for my soul I can feel only blood trickling down my arm like a river flow. The bursting of blood and sin. I am the darkness behind the shadow. I can feel a hole through my heart like a needle going through soft leather. Now I know that my dream was a reality. I walk through the sand as if feeling all the hatred raging from everyone I've ever known. I am listening to the soft bristle of the sand moving. My sorrow well never be known to a livingsoul but darkness. I fade away as I'm crying out all that is evil. I faded in to pure darkness. As I was never spoken of again. I miss the surface
