A Reverie Poem by Pragya Deb Burman

A Reverie

I wish I could send you a rainbow,
A myriad colours depicting the soft hues
Abiding within my soul;

I wish I could grow a million scented roses
The breeze delicately embracing their fragrance,
And hope, I could do the same with you;

How I wish to be like the nurturing clouds
Showering pure drops, sowing the tender buds of love,
In your parched heart;

I wish I could be like the silver moon-
Brightening your darkest nights
Till all the stars would dim, in comparison;

I wish I could do so much more
And fly like the flights of fancy, crossing all hurdles!
Yes, I wish
How I wish, this wasn't just a reverie!
