A Rhyme - Poem by Paul Butters

Oh, I'm so neurotic,
Have I remembered to take my antibiotic?

They're plotting to label me paranoid,
And yes it makes me very annoyed,
Cos I'm much more than a droid.

Not a droid at all,
And not very tall.

I love my cheesy cheese,
But when I crap I have to squeeze
My head

And then it plops.
I am the tops.
Of The Pops.
No time for flops.
Get out those mops.

These funny rhymes
Give me good times.

With any luck,
I'll get a
Chance to hold her hand.

But, without being terse,
I love blank verse,
Though Rhyme can be sublime
From time to time.

I don't hate poems,
But my characters hate me.
They're full of groans,
Just longing to be free
Of dentists, schools, monsters and all such like,
Being victims they just want to go on strike!
They can take a hike.
On yer bike!

This verse must end,
And then,
I must press
"Send".
