A Sigh In Spring Poem by Barry Middleton

A Sigh In Spring

Rating: 5.0

the earth breathes a sigh in the spring
to see what the season will bring
the air hints of blossoms today
the perfume of April and May

and lovers may hear in the trees
a pledge that arrives on the breeze
new life and true love have arrived
and all that the Spring has contrived

each year all mankind is reborn
in Spring with the rise of each morn
for Spring brings us hope that can last
and a promise that winter has passed

Thanks Dimitrios. Though the poem is hopeful, there is so much hopelessness in the world that it is difficult for me to muster much optimism.

A beautiful poem on the spring and all that it stands for....hope, beauty, love. A lovely picture that warms the reader's heart. A10

Thank you Nosheen. Spring has come in Florida and I am trying to use it as inspiration.
