A Small Prayer Of A Girl!
Brother! Buy for me a six meter long sari,
I would like to wrap on my slender body,
Hiding all my beautiful curves and bums,
From the eyes of vulture, that likes to scratch,
Father! Be stationed at every nooks and corners,
To protect your lovely virgin daughters,
Who can't show their cleavage, as their Sisters,
In western countries boldly do with their bounties,
Cousins! Look at our eyes and appreciate our white teeth,
That is dipped in the sweetest saliva of pure honey,
We are clean in our heart, mind, soul and body,
Future husband! You are the only one for us to taste,
Don't immerse in unhealthy pits and molest the cute,
I pray to the God that you would not have a girl friend,
Until your parents bring the trays of fruits to engage me, your love.
A nice poem appealing to all men. The predators barge on the weak, molest, damage and throw away the injured on railway tracks, on the road and around the bush. In stead of taking up cudgels against these lawless goons, the poetess appeals to them to protect and respect the girls. The way of tackling this problem is wonderful.
I am reminded of the most recent case of the young woman who was gang-raped in New Delhi, India...It is sad indeed that women cannot enjoy the freedom and respect they so deserve...In the context of India, I think it was Gandhi who said that true freedom comes to India when the nation's women can live free and unmolested at home and in public...and so it must be for every country. A powerful poem that speaks volumes, VS.
Unfortunate it is that tender buds are destroyed by maggots! Where can a young girl be safe! Now, in these time of growing abuse and molestation, it has become an annoying concern of not only the girls, but their parents too! A touching prayer! !
modesty and grace is the garment of this young girl which is now unfortunately being torn asunder..!

We are clean in our heart, mind, soul and body, I pray that this be the disposition of all women-young and old. .Father! Be stationed at every nooks and corners, To protect your lovely virgin daughters, And I pray that women everywhere be covered and protected by God, and respected by their fellowman. What a thoughtful, adequate, and wonderful prayer.
