A Song Of Love Poem by Matloob Bokhari

A Song Of Love

A SONG OF LOVE
Let us sit on the scented dewy grass
And smoke the pipe of peace.
Let us go in the dark, silent alley
And light a lamp with a smile of kindness
Let us feed the needy and love the unlovable
Be a rose to heal the wounds of broken souls
Let us cure the scars created by hate
Be a river flowing with peace, love and joy
Let us learn from nightingale and sparrow
Sit in chapel, sing in mandar, stay in mosque.
O supreme creation!
The world is a sweet smelling rose,
Why to fill it with tears?
Why to destroy with hate?
