A Sonnet For The Winter Poem by Walterrean Salley

A Sonnet For The Winter

Rating: 3.9

Winter's not your average season,
But rather, it's extreme.
Don't let its features fool you:
The snow and all that gleam.

Enjoy the sights and sounds,
But don't ignore the cold.
For goodness sake, stay bundle up—
The young and the old.

Never take for granted
The rain, and sleet, and snow,
Which can all wreak havoc—
Its price you cannot know.

And for these, such reasons,
It's not your average season.
