from "While Passing Through"/Spring
A good spring rain!
First in a hundred days.
Sprouts are everywhere!
You think you know
who started all this?
Rain ushers new life on the Earth! After a period of drought, rain is such a welcoming thing and Earth gets washed clean of all dust and dirt!
hey, valsa! good to hear from you. yes, the rain is so welcome in such circumstances. in this particular case we have been in a decade-long drought and have catching up to do as far as moisture is concerned. how we continue to have enough water is a marvel to me. my mind goes to the exodus story in the bible and how the sinai desert provided enough water for the crowds of israelites that crossed it over a long period. appreciate you comment. thanks! -glen
This had me instantly happy and my step springy! ! ! Thank you for the uplift!

The poet knows very well the only answer to his question.
