A Storm Upon The Sea Poem by soren Barrett

A Storm Upon The Sea

Far alee from thunderous crowds
On raging sea, adrift and afloat
So far to swim, sails now shrouds
Desperation seeps into a leaking boat
Wailing, shreeking, crashing so loud
My very mast a bolt has smote
Hope glimpses through, a breach in the clouds
But in dark tempest, the devil does gloat
To my maker, my head now bowed
Waves so high, land so remote
Planted in this deep, now ploughed
Burried alive, water floods my throat
Resurrected from dreams, I awoke endowed
With new life, gratitude to devote
