A Sweet Dream Poem by Namita Rani Panda

A Sweet Dream

Rating: 4.0

When I was reclining on a couch of grass flowers in my dream world
You floated in the sky on the saddle of a drifting cloud
And slowly descended as the first rain of monsoon
To quench the wishes of my thirsty bosom.

When I was annoyed and stubborn like a sea rock in deep meditation
You came as a rolling wave to drench me totally with the spray of your endless affection
And with your wet fingers engrave your name on my soft bosom.

When like a pale sky I was in deep gloom
You bloomed in my garden as a lovely blossom
And danced to the tune of wind
to spread a flicker of smile on my lips so sweet and uncommon.

When like a wounded dove in a storm I was down with worries
From nowhere you started blowing like a cool soothing breeze
Singing a sweet song to lull my worries.

When I shivered in cold like a puppy in chilly winter
You ushered like the fragrant warm breath of summer
And absorbed my chill, my sole comforter.

When like a child I was lovesick
Drop by drop you drip on my heart's lips
That percolated slowly for my soul to relish
That turned my agony to sweetest honey
With your ever-flowing fountain of love, my life turned sunny.

You ever hovered around me like a faithful lover
Who was ever careful to make me comfortable and happier

But, in real life can it be true ever?
The dream like a dew drop appears and disappears.
