A Taste Of Freedom Poem by Billy Loving

A Taste Of Freedom

Rating: 5.0

So long since the paper and I
Grew wings and started to fly
Across the ocean seas
Enjoying a summer breeze
Visiting an old friend
A joyous message to send
Searching my mind
Lost within, some peace I find
Paper blank, no more
Imagination has opened it's door
Allowing me to spend the day
In it's images, I start to play
Suddenly filling the paper
My hand, it's giddy shaper
Removing life's weight
The next line, I contemplate
Free to soar the sky
As the time passes rapidly by
Life fills so complete
As my hand, the pen does meet

A truly liberating experience. Terrific verse.
