A Thing Everlasting Poem by Rajesh Thankappan

A Thing Everlasting

Rating: 5.0

The sun has consumed
The day’s last breath
And the night cool
Her very first one-
Hills no more behold
The picturesque surroundings
And man no more sight
Her majestic heights.
Bird no more sings
Melodious madrigals
And the awakened owls
Can never keep calm.

Thus very beginning born
Tapers to an end
But out soul glides
Unobstructed along!
