A 'Thing' To Be Brushed Away Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

A 'Thing' To Be Brushed Away

Anyone allowing themselves,
To be made useless...
With the producing of excuses,
Has reduced a blessing to them given...
As a 'thing' to be brush away.
With no faith in self that stays.

That moment anyone accepted,
A noticeable sign of rejection...
With a seeking from within,
For an approval to fit in...
Began for them the beginning to portray,
Themselves as a willing victim.
