A Thousand Miles Poem by Lauren Cannone

A Thousand Miles

Say that we don't want,
to stay in this no name state,
because you think it's painful and,
everything we hate,

We could see the west coast,
Fly a thousand miles away,
Just say we'd have eachother,
because we can't stand to stay,

Is it our young and restless souls,
igniting unrealistic dreams?
we will stay here for now,
where nothing is as it seems,

Or just one year from today,
we'll have gone our seperate ways,
I'll be looking at the door,
still restless, dreaming no more.
