A Token For A Friend

How time rolls like wind
In the similitude of a planted seed
Which when dropped brings a need
So is age, though planted as a weed
But nurtured by Almighty God to yield
A stimulated growth with no greed
And to bring one’s life to a lead
That many may follow like a string to a bead
And for you, this year, you will lead
But above all, this I plead;
Only to the word of God, heed
