A Transient Journey [ 4 Tanka ] Poem by Nudershada Cabanes

A Transient Journey [ 4 Tanka ]

Rating: 5.0

Our cat died today
He was a beautiful cat
White furred with striped tail
A sweet gentle animal
That has become family

He was a kitten
When he first came to our home
A tiny snowball
Found on the street by my boy
Who was just five years old then

He is now thirteen
Our cat has lived for eight years
Long enough to love
My boy who is now a teen
Our cat's life ended today

Life is just passing
For everything that lives here
A transient journey
That will end one day for all
A sure destiny of life
