A Treasured Day Poem by Daya Nandan

A Treasured Day

i reunited with my lover at the nearby train station,
After months of missing her from a different nation,
Bodies apart yet the bonds in our souls are strong,
The magic of love that grows after years so long,

With her body fitting shirt and skin tight jeans,
She looked like a model that i only see in tv screens
Beautiful and enticing she is like an angel from above,
With her tender smile that never fails makes me fall in love,

My heart leaped in joy as i saw her once again,
My heart rate rocketed as blood rushed through each vain,
I took her out to the tallest building in my land,
And there we walked and spoke as we held each other's hand,

We spoke for hours as we ate in a fancy dining place,
Lost in her gaze i lost track of both time and space,
Alas it was time to say goodbye to beautiful lover i miss,
We parted ways as she planted upon me a tender kiss.
