Oh what a lovely dad we had!
-An honest, sincere, man;
Role-model to many a dad;
Forget him, nev'r we can.
Exemplary to core all life;
A simple soul unique;
In poverty born and much strife,
-Almighty God's great pick!
He spoke not much but was steadfast;
He did his duties well;
In pensive moods, recalling past,
He thought and prayed so swell.
A man of conscience, rarely found;
Condescending, humble;
Though hurt, he stayed so duty-bound;
And would not ev'n grumble.
He loved his family members much;
He loved his neighbors all;
His gift of gab was Midas touch;
He heeded God's each call.
He was not after greater wealth;
Righteousness was his forte;
He couldn't avoid a failing health;
Justice, fairness, his port.
We children are lucky indeed;
Our mom aided him most;
He showed that he was from good seed;
Talented, he wouldn't boast!
