A Trusted Friend Poem by Katherine Graven

A Trusted Friend

Rating: 5.0

Poetry
Is like writing in tongues
Someone may not understand
To someone else
it may give them
the answer
they have been searching for
A reason
to move on
to Survive
To understand
their own joys,
heart aches,
misfortunes,
even dilemmas
To know they are not
alone
in their feelings.
So whether it rhymes
Or just rattled statements
It has a purpose
It is to cleanse
Not only their heart,
mind, body and soul…
but also validate strangers
heart aches, worries
and pleasure
In the end
You have a stranger
as

A Trusted Friend

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I was noticing that some people where very critical in the way people wrote poetry so I wrote this one. In a way that it would not rhyme and to make it not structured like a regular poem.
