Hush Sweet Memory Poem by Katherine Graven

Hush Sweet Memory

Rating: 5.0

I perceive a hushed sound
Bringing a tender memory to mind
Of a forbidden passion tied and bound
Flowing sadness from my eyes

Souls danced for a little while
Taking my breath it was to late
Eyes that had a magnetic smile
Only to deny a true hearts fate

Isolated days come Isolated days go
True love, I wished I never known
For a while bring joy to my broken soul
But in the end I had to let love go

Passionate dreams of what was to never be
Never to be wished upon or dared
Hush sweet memory
You only left me in a haunting despair
