A Viper's Nest Poem by Paula Glynn

A Viper's Nest

Rating: 5.0

Like an unexpected toxic spill
She goes for the aggressive kill
The devil signing his red skinned name
Across her black widow heart

She spreads vicious rumours
She destroys reputations
She draws unnecessary blood with her words
She could even draw blood from a stone

She came from the evil hell
She knows the nasty game well
She resides where spiders dwell
She plays the power game very well

People played for puppets
People told her vicious lies
People thinking and assuming her nice
People to end up fatally surprised

Now the truth of her evil known
How her evil is now unfortunately grown
Her false and manipulative personality
A clever trick of the light and facade

She is confident but too hard
Her soul black with hell's darkness
Her soul doomed to feel the pressure
Her soul cursed to feel only misery

And she does not matter to me
For I will never be her friend
I will never be there to the end
For I know she plays malicious tricks

And now everyone knows she is only pretend.

Great use of rhyme and the topic is familiar to most of us.
