A Walk In The Valley Poem by Christopher Forrister

A Walk In The Valley

Rating: 4.8

I sit alone forgotten place
just what I see, I can't erase
memories back where I belong
take me back when I was strong
I don't know just what I'm feelin'
Can't find the words revealin'
I'm in need of dark suppresion
save me from this man's recession
But now I feel my insides
are the only one that's true
The breath of death to be alive
are coming back to you
I came to walk in the valley
with death's shadow behind
To scream with the demons
In my head remind
I'm scratchin' my walls
the prison bars won't break
I can't feel just anything
when everything is fake.
I need to see this barren waste
A power that I've never faced
Alone but never will I be
crushed beneath this life's debris.
Who will come, and who will know
the path of time so cruel and slow
To the walls I shout so loud...so true
what on earth will pull me through
But now I feel the power
madness sinking tread
Forever will be striken
the book of life is read
I came to walk in the valley
death's shadow close at hand
To laugh at those that never
can begin to understand
In my hands remission
To crush beneath the weight
I'm goin' home, I'm gone away
but now it is too late.
Too late..
