A Walk Through Life Poem by Matthew Holloway

A Walk Through Life

Let not this game, limit ourselves
That who we may be someday
That which, we may achieve
The rules and regulations imposed
By class and expense
Should never defy dreams
We should fight, bleed, weep
Draw battle lines in the sand
Never step back, withdraw
In spite, of all which denies us
The game, the rules, officials
There to bind us, control us
A pre-set limitation imposed
We need not play along to the game
But make our own rules
Set to our own name
