A War Not Fought To Take Land Oil Poem by Terence George Craddock

A War Not Fought To Take Land Oil

so tell me again
to which exception war
are you referring?

and it was fought
not to take land oil
precious resources?

fought not to take land oil precious resources...

belonging to others
you say but fought as a war
on spin term terrorism?

occupation shock troops
soldiers were there to free
distant foreign citizens?

soldiers there to free distant foreign citizens...

to support local populations
begging for democracy you say
left without clean water?

no stockpiles adequate food
repaired bombed out infrastructure
you say and not to protect oil pipeline?

bombed out infrastructure to protect oil pipeline...
