A Warrior's Story Poem by Jay Boyd

A Warrior's Story

Let fester
Where I lay
Let me
Embrace night or day
Walk through
the sun and shade
Live life with a warrior's sane
& die by the blade
Crimson blankets cover
my fallen dear
this is queer
in another time and place
We'd drank a few mugs
being gay in each others company
and unwind
but us fighting
is shrewd insanity
Why?
cant we find calamity
