A Winter Tempest Poem by Joseph T. Renaldi

A Winter Tempest

Rating: 5.0

Look out the picture window at the snow
Falling rapidly from the heavy sky,
Then sit back and listen attentively
To the tempest's melancholy cries.

It is here you will find a faith to cherish,
A peace of mind that is genuine and real
Where the Almighty seems to smile on thee
And instills hope and a sense of good will.

Memories of your youthful days linger here,
So many of your ventures you still see
And admire the beauty in the transition
Of a winter landscape that has attracted thee.

You will find each scene a pleasure to behold,
Your mind at ease and your soul free.
The wonders of winter will then be yours
In the white landscape that beckons thee.

Quickly your thoughts are aroused and gone
Along the aftermath of the tempest's way,
Still longing to challenge the frozen landscape
On a crisp and tranquil winter day.
