A Woman With An Agenda Is Me

A woman with an agenda is me
-Gayathri B. Seetharam
I wish to be a woman of independent means
For it would show the world
That feminine feminist women
Can make their way in this world
With or without the protection of a man
A woman who makes a fortune
With the asset of a good classical education in engineering
Has re-proven her mettle
And she gains the esteem of her friends and family
"If it is a truth universally acknowledged
That a single man in possession of a good fortune
Must be in want of a wife"
It is an unacknowledged truth
That a successful man who is shouldering the
Entire responsibility of a family
Would perhaps, be in perpetual good humour,
If his wife and son were to contribute to their personal expenses
And would be an attentive husband
I am currently a woman who lives through her wits and talents
But has no means to an income
Which is a contradiction of sorts
For a woman with a source to a livelihood
Has to have an accompanying purse
Quoting from Charles Dickens Info on the internet,
Gold, for the instant, lost its lustre in his eyes, for there were countless treasures of the heart which it could never purchase. ~ Nicholas Nickleby

"Well! " observed R. Wilfer, cheerfully, "money and goods are certainly the best of references." ~ Our Mutual Friend
