A Wrong Turn On The Road To Enlightenment Poem by Richard Wlodarski

A Wrong Turn On The Road To Enlightenment

Rating: 5.0

If in the heart of this darkness
I were to suddenly see your light
If my blindness gave way to sight
And my deafness heard your words
If my dumbness spoke my words
And I weren't paralysed by fear
Would I boldly walk to you
Enlightened by your darkness
Blinded by your forsaken love
Deafened by your unspoken words
Numbed by unspeakable acts

I will search out truth
And try to forget and forgive
The lies deserting me
