A Year Gone Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

A Year Gone

Rating: 5.0

After a month they will say
The year passed so soon
As they have said before
When it is November

And cold would bite their
Toes and fingers and lips
They apply balm at night
When they go to sleep and
Get under the blanket

They murmur to each other
The year passed so soon
It seems like we have
Celebrated the New Year
Yesterday

And the December cold
Gives them extra sneezes
And yawns and they don't
Feel like waking up and feel
The frozen floor with their toes

As the sun peeps through
The window polished with mist
They realized the year is indeed
Not long as they have thought
At the beginning of the year

So very true. How time flies so fast. A lovely poem. The words used made the reader feel the coldness of the season.
