Abby Poem by Cherry Blossom

Abby

It was many decades ago, in heaven
She was an angel that came down,
Packed her things and was raring to go,
With her angelic voice, serpent like hair that slithers in the wind, her opal colored eyes showing calmness and a sanctuary for the lost souls to rest at ease and open up.

It was the night of a crescent moon when I saw the angel that traveled from city to city saving the lost, challenged souls from the call of the void awaiting to devour them, the void that is patiently lurking in the deep puddles of shadow in the corner of one's eye.

It was the night that guided us into this rabbit hole that everyone curses at, the thing that everyone both love and despise, I fell in love- she fell in love, we continued to grow and bloom.
Another decade has passed, and for I am a mere mortal I cannot be by your side forever, so I have laid down deep underground, lying next to the crawling critters, eyes closed, reminiscing the memories of the past moments that we shared together.

I will love you in another universe my love, for maybe we both are mortals or immortals in that universe.

We are the lovers that were meant to be, but time has declined.
