Abstract Poem by Irma Goo

Abstract

Rating: 4.8

I fell asleep in my jeans
I woke and I leaned
Upon the dream
Of normalcy

Balanced on the boundary
Of freedom, pride, passion
Ration the rationality
Laughin' past fatality

Rather, slouching to infinity
Searching, striving for divinity
This inner peace must give to me
An outer piece of of joy and
Not just a soliloquy
But a search for stability
That resides past my vicinity
Past, cast, far from my periphery

I feel asleep in my jeans
The seams in my jeans
Left stains on my thigh
I awoke with a dream in my eye
I awoke and rose still in my jeans
With the realization that nothing is as it seems
This dream I'll save it for a day
Another time
When I lied in bed
Without jeans on my legs

A good overall read though with a couple of issues of grammar that may need to be fixed.
